Welcome to the Two Dorothies Townhouse complex built by Trasolini Chetner in 2016. One of the best builders in all of Vancouver. Lots more details below but for now make sure your volume is up on your speakers and press play on the teaser video.

THE COMPLEX

The Two Dorothies have a great history and the front half of the complex has heritage status. The two Tudor homes on the front were originally built back in 1931-32. They were saved and relocated to 41st from 43rd in 2015. More heritage info HERE. Unit #2 is on the back and South side of the complex (away from 41st) and has direct access to the garage which has one dedicated parking spot for this unit. The strata is meticulous with the landscaping and up kept of the common areas. The walkways and garden are pristine. Keep scrolling for more details.

THE MAIN

As you enter the front door you are greeted with a nice linear foyer. The powder room is tucked around the corner. Then you enter into the open concept kitchen, dining & living rooms. This is a really nice space with taller ceilings and great flow. The kitchen features matte white cabinetry and integrated fridge & dishwasher. The stainless steel stove is gas, the sink is under mount, the countertops are Quartz & the backsplash is white subway tiles. It’s beautiful. The living room has a modern gas fireplace and easy access to the patio. Being a corner unit, this West wall has a few windows which provide extra light. More pictures and details below.

THE UPSTAIRS

Up one flight of stairs is home to the two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The bedrooms are separated by the bathrooms and laundry closet. The master has a large walk-in closet and a little patio.

THE BASEMENT

Downstairs is huge and has amazing potential. There is plenty of room for a third bedroom down here and there is another full four piece bathroom. Currently set up as a TV room and home office but the amount of options and possibilities are endless. There are also 6 egress windows which provide some good light. The hot water on demand, hot water tank and radiant heating system are all down here in the utility closet.

THE AREA

The Kerrisdale is one of the most sought after subareas of Vancouver. Walking distance to the Kerrisdale Village. Amazing restaurants, shops & galleries. Click here for full list – SHOPS. Also check out the awesome Kerrisdale Community centre.

Kerrisdale gained its name in 1905 when British Columbia Electric Railway manager R.H. Sterling asked Mrs. William McKinnon to name the interurban stop at Wilson Road (today West 41st Avenue). She chose to call it “Kerry’s Dale”, after the name of her family home, Kerrydale, in Gairloch, Scotland.  Kerrydale means “little seat of the fairies”. It was quickly adapted to Kerrisdale. The area was part of the Municipality of Point Grey, which amalgamated January 1, 1929 with the City of Vancouver and the Municipality of South Vancouver. Many of the streets and avenues surrounding this focal intersection developed around this time, with local landmarks such as Point Grey Secondary School, Ryerson Church, Shannon Mews and the Allen Brown Estate constructed in these formative years.
