One of our friends owns this killer, true, double height loft in Vancouver’s Industrial loft land. Mount Pleasant a.k.a Soma a.k.a Brewery Creek and sometimes known as East Van Loft area, is one of the Vancouver loft subareas with the most amount of artist, live/work, industrial loft buildings, per capital, in the city. Our favourite street is East 4th and our ALL TIME fav building (and Yes, we are bias) is the MECCA. We’ve actually, personally, bought, renovated, marketed, sold and partied in a bunch of these epic lofts. The loft we are talking about today is on the top floor of the Mecca, south facing and has massive 22ft high ceilings. Being on the top gives you easy access to the amazing roof top party deck. Trust me, this is a major selling feature and they are known to host the occasional outdoor movie. Inside the unit contains 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It also features; an amazing kitchen with huge island, beautiful wide plank hardwood floors, brand new spa-like bathroom up, insane amounts of storage, in-suite laundry, Juliet patio doors, gas fireplace, and serious main street loft swag. In every loft there is usually stairs up to the upper floor. Which usually makes for a tough spot to use efficiently. But you can never lose when it’s used as a bar.
