LOFTS for sale in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. There are a few different types of lofts but we break them down into two different catagories. New School wannabe lofts and Old School Industrial Legit Lofts. New School lofts are the newer buildings built with open concepts and consider themselves lofts because they either have concrete flooring, no walls in the bedroom, brick walls or a combination of the above. Old School industrial legit lofts are real double height lofts, with a sleeping area up and kitchen, living and dining down below. We also consider one level units with tons of heritage (bricks, beams, concrete) to be old school lofts as well. Then there is the OG of lofts and they are considered the Ultimate = Old converted building, with concrete, bricks, huge open concept, super tall ceilings, double height and exposed everything.
Our city has over 80 different loft buildings in the city and a bunch of different Loft Sub Areas in Vancouver. Each different area has it’s own type of loft building built in a different time. From North Van to Port Moody there are loft buildings but the most condensed areas would be Gastown, Mount Pleasant, Crosstown, and Yaletown. Cambie, Downtown. New West and Burnaby are the secondary less condensed loft hoods.
