Port Moody Lofts Are Coming Our Way

The city continues to urbanize with the arrival of Port Moody Lofts, found in the Platform Development.

First came the breweries. Then came the SkyTrain. And now the City of the Arts continues to urbanize and modernize with construction of Port Moody Lofts, a first for the city. Brought to you by the good folks at Aragon, the Platform Development is the first of its kind in Port Moody. Located just steps from Moody Centre Station, these Port Moody Lofts are sure to bring city dwellers out to the suburbs. As Port Moody evolves from a seaside suburb to a regional centre of dense development, Aragon is making a substantial investment to aide with the evolution of the city.

About Platform

Starting with our personal favourite feature of the development, the Port Moody Lofts. Although an exact number of units has yet to be specified, these lofts will be laid out with 20′ ceilings to create the perfect live-work studio. With Port Moody being the City of the Arts, it is a huge boost for the City to attract these types of residences. As Port Moody continues to morph into a Main Street EAST, we are getting more and more excited. These types of developments are right up our alley, and we can’t wait to get going.

The Platform development also will include street level retail, condos, and townhomes ranging from 500-1500 square feet. A true mixed use development is exactly what the city needs, and will continue to stimulate the economy with a rising population.

Around The Platform Development

The area that these Port Moody Lofts will be situated on is at the corner of Moody Street and Clarke Street, while backing onto Spring Street. Known as the “Moody Centre” region of Port Moody, this area is currently undergoing an era of urban revitalization. What used to be single storey retail and service businesses is now turning into a district of mid-rise mixed use development. Platform is just a short walk on the overpass to Rocky Point Park which includes Rocky Point Ice Cream, a Swimming Pool, Skatepark, and the Boathouse Restaurant. Across the street from the park are four awesome Craft Breweries that we profiled last summer: Twin Sails Beer, Yellow Dog Brewery, Parkside Brewery, and Moody Ales.

Port Moody is definitely on the come-up with the SkyTrain, The Flavelle Oceanfront Development, and the growing population. Contact us today and don’t miss your chance to get into this beautiful seaside city.
