5 MUST DO CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES IN THE LOWER MAINLAND

Now that we’re entering December it’s safe to start cranking the Christmas tunes, put on your ugliest sweater and get Festive AF. Let us help you get in the Christmas spirit by showing you the 5 Must do Christmas activities in the lower mainland. No matter if you live in downtown, the tri-cities or in the Valley there’s a Christmas activity for you and the fam jam to get in the spirit with.  While your out looking at the Crazy Christmas lights make sure to keep an eye out for any of our active listings.

1) VANDUSEN FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

We’ve all grown up going to the Vandusen festival of lights and theres no questioning that this event is one of Vancouver’s OG Christmas festivals. The festival of lights runs from December 1st to January 6th. Price for admission ranges from $11-$21.25. To save yourself a bit of coin we suggest hitting up the festival of lights anytime between  December 1st – December 20th or from December 27th- January 6th If you plan on going December 21st-December 26th get ready to pay a small premium. Make sure to purchase your tickets online it’s cheaper than at the gate!

2) VANCOUVER CHRISTMAS MARKET

The Vancouver Market is another classic Vancouver way to get in the holiday spirit. This European influenced market offers tons of delicious food, cool Christmas toys and lets not forget to mention there’s Adult beverages! Tickets for entrance vary from $5-$12 but make sure to buy your tickets online ahead of time and save yourself a few bucks. The Christmas Market is open daily from 11:30am-9:30pm and 11:30am – 6:00pm on Christmas Eve.

3) GLOW CHRISTMAS

Glow Christmas is quickly becoming the #1 Winter activity in the Lower mainland. Located in Langley Glow runs from November 22nd to January 19th 2019. Glow has light gardens, a Christmas market, interactive lights, magic castle playground, live entertainment, LED swings, a Glow-comotive  and of course food and bevies! Tickets cost anywhere from $16.99 – $22.99 there’s also family packages available. Make sure to book tickets online in advance as they sell out quickly!

4) CHRISTMAS AT BURNABY VILLAGE

Burnaby village is such a cool place to go check out on any day but it’s even better when it’s done out with some killer Christmas decorations. Heritage Christmas runs from November 24th – January 4th. Lots of activities to do within the village such as heritage baking, Children Christmas crafts, Father Christmas, Scavenger hunt, sing-alongs and live entertainment. The best part you ask? gate admission is FREE!

5) LIGHTS AT LAFARGE

This is for all our Tri-Cities peeps! Year after year the Lights at Lafarge are getting bigger and brighter. Running from November 24th – January 20th, the lights are on from dusk-11pm. For you who haven’t been to the Lights at Lafarge this is an absolute must do! Load up your thermos with some hot chocolate (we suggest adding a splash of baileys to keep you extra warm) and take a nice stroll around the lake and soak in the atmosphere. Easily accessible with the Sky Train stopping right at Lafarge.
